Welcome to the 1st International Tattoo Convention in DaNang ️ (Vietnam) on the 26th, 27th and 28th of May 2023.

Vietnam is a country which is gaining a lot of popularity within the tattoo community, thanks to the many incredibly talented tattoo artists constantly entering the tattoo world.

During the 3 days of the convention, we will bring together over 250 of the best Vietnamese & international tattoo artists, along with special guests from all over the world, tattoo contests, tattoo seminars, art exhibitions, music shows and live entertainment!

Simply put, this event aims to place the beautiful and sunny city of Da Nang on the map of international tattooing.

The Da Nang Tattoo Convention is hosted by Alex Van Dutch and the team of Dragon City Ink. Alex also founded World Tattoo Events, which is since 2010 the largest portal online about Tattoo Conventions. Last but not least, the Ariyana Convention Center offers a truly spectacular venue for a tattoo convention at the highest level.

The convention will be hosted at the stunning Ariyana International Convention Centre, located in front of the Ocean and surrounded by a lush tropical landscape within the luxury Furama Resort. With over 3600 m2 of indoor space, the Ariyana Center offers a truly exceptional setting and it’s by far one of the best convention centers in Vietnam and possibly of all South East Asia.

The Da Nang Tattoo Convention will showcase a great number of Tattoo Contest.

We aim to give a chance to new Vietnamese and International talents to be seen by a wide international audience.

A rich collection of prizes will be given to the chosen tattoo artists by a selected panel of Vietnamese and International judges.

• Judging will be implemented by the use of tokens. The number of tokens for each judge will increase proportionally to the amount of contestants.
• All judges are impartial, unbiased and with a significant background in the tattoo industry.
• Fresh tattoos can enter the contests for free. Healed tattoos wil cost $10 (250.000VND) per entry.
• Contest registrations are open every day from 10am to 4pm at the Service Booth.
• The performing artists remain anonymous until awards are presented.
• Judging is based solely on the technical and artistic qualities of each tattoo.
• Tattoos must be complete to enter.
• Tattoo models must be present during registration.
• All tattoos entered into the contests must be performed by artists in attendance at the convention.
• Artists can enter in each category with max. 3 tattoos.
• A single tattoo can be registered in only 2 different categories (ie: Best Color and Best of Day)
• Both the tattoo artist and the collector must be present to receive their trophies. In the case that either is absent, trophies will be awarded to the runner up.
• If you are a judge you may not enter any category you are scheduled to judge. You also may not judge a category that one of your artistic pieces has been entered into. If you need to be excused from judging a specific category an alternate judge will be provided.
• Photographers from multiple tattoo and life-style magazines will be present to photograph contest winners and participants. The organization reserves the right to publish these photographs for promotional and for documentation purposes.
